My Tough Angel

28 more days…

28 more days until my debut novel Backstage Pass is officially released.

If you’ve been following my blog for the past couple days, you know I’m working on Sinners’ official website and trying to find pictures to represent each member of the band.  If you haven’t been following along, you might be wondering, “Who are Sinners? And why do they need a website?”

Sinners is a fictional rock band. They need a website because I say so.  And so fans of the series can find out more about the band.  Each of the five members of Sinners are lead characters in my erotic romance series, Sinners on Tour.  The first novel in the five book series will be released in 28 days and features Brian Sinclair, the romantic and sensual lead guitarist.  Each guy will get his own book.  They’re being released six months apart.  The third book is about the bassist, Jace Seymour.  I call Jace my tough angel.  He’s a brooding, mysterious man with a dark past and a pain fetish.

And he’s cute as a button!

So I found what I considered the PERFECT picture of Jace.  He even has angel wings! But the rights for the picture on iStock.com was $30.  Erm…. Do I look like I’m made of money?  So I downloaded a free comp (watermarked) to show you my first choice for Jace, and went to a different website in search of a new Jace.

Jace Seymour, my tough angel. But the danged picture was too expensive!

Here’s another too expensive picture that I would have purchased, if I was made of money.

Jace Seymour looking bad to the bone.

So I’m looking around a different image website (dreamstime.com) and I find an even better Jace. And he’s for cheap!  Only $1 for the image rights.  THANK YOU, photographer.  Whoever you are!  Jace is actually a brunette and he bleaches his hair.  He keeps beard stubble to cover up his overly cute face.  So THIS GUY IS PERFECT!  His eyes are even brown.  Happy Dance!  I found Jace.

Why is Jace wearing a suit and talking on the phone? I have no idea. I'll be cropping this one.

Even though there’s a phone in the picture, this shot is perfect.  Jace keeps his eyes downcast most of the time.  A lot of people think he’s shy.  And he is, to some extent, but that’s not why he avoids eye contact.  You’re going to have to wait a whole year to find out why.  His book won’t be released until October.  Of 2011.

I don’t know about you, but I just want to climb into that Jacuzzi, cuddle up against this guy’s back, and kiss his neck.  Mmmmm.

What a sweet smile...

And I could NOT resist this one.  He looks a little lonely.  I think he needs some company.

It must be after noon. Jace never gets out of bed before noon. But then, he's not actually out of bed, is he?

It’s true.  Jace is not a morning person.  Are you a morning person? Or are you a night owl, like Jace?
